Sequins, succulents and the sea… these were the three design elements that centered Dustie + Jeff’s Key West Bohemian wedding. Happily letting both my design and retail life coalesce; I first met our easy going bride while working at a boutique in South Tampa. This was a full service shindig, from personal styling of the Bride’s custom gown and boho veil, to the coordination and selection of the vendors, decor and design elements of the wedding itself. I love it when my husband and I get to work together, and he was brought on as the in-house photographer for the two days of relaxed events. She wanted minimal and natural elements on all fronts (except for the sequins). So this covered the candid lifestyle imagery that was captured.
The first day included a welcome party for the 60 or so guests at a lovely vacation rental. Simple touches with hydrangea and succulent centerpieces atop champagne toned sequin linens. We included a self serve canoe filled with beer and wine (of course, we tested it’s buoyancy in the property’s mini pond), while enjoying some of the Key’s tastiest Cuban food from El Meson de Pepe.
The main fête took place on a sunny day at sea, with live music, a fun crew and lively guests, it was smooth sailing into their new lives of matrimony. Wishing Dustie & Jeff lives filled with love and clear skies.
