Simply Super Flares

Wandering the side ways and by ways of Sarasota, my husband and I love to explore new spots around town. We recently stumbled across this gem of an area and fell in love with the mixed landscapes. Lush greenery, peeling paint, and train tracks… a myriad of textures and colors.

I am totally in love with these Super Flares from Free People! What works for me is the great silhouette that compliments my curvy figure. The dark denim coordinates with any of my top choices, but on this day I slipped them on with some of my other Free People staples–a simple white brami and versatile grey knit. The original term for these wide leg wonders, of course, is the Bell Bottom. Originally introduced in the 19th century by the US Navy, then popularized in the 1960’s for both men and women with the counter culture and free love movement. They went mainstream in the 70’s in fabrics like satin and polyester adding in prints for new vibes.
